Faith comes from the word "fides" which means trust. As a concept it is to believe firmly, with a real belief that e addreut it could be somewhalic, formed with these beliefs,something is true, or it can and will happen. It is trust, as specified, fully into something or someone, but outside of the ordinary.
When speaking of faith, you are directly linked with any religion, with God, or any specific belief.
There are many prejudices surrounding this word and its meaning, which can be quite varied but always points to a single criterion, which is believe and trust in something that maybe often seeks to explain through science. As an example one could say that there have been many discussions about the creation of the earth and the beginning of mankind with various explanations, on the one hand science tries to raise whatever it considers "fantastic" of religious ideas and using arguments Scientists on the nature, religion and Catholicism in particular the proposed creation rather where the controller is only God, and invoking the writings of the Bible, the sacred book of the Catholic religion.
